I manage a home appliance service center, we have about 25 people, including technicians, drivers and operators. Everyone has their own rhythm: someone can only work in the evenings, someone does not want to work on weekends, and some have their own internal astrology for the days of the week. In general, we used to keep a schedule in Google Sheets, and it was a nightmare. Constant errors, forgotten shifts, overlaps and "I shouldn't have worked that day at all." Lost clients, nerves, scandals. Then I accidentally came across https://shifton.com/shift-scheduling in one telegram chat and decided to try it. It was schedule generator work that hooked me, because I was already on the verge of despair. And I'll tell you, the thing really works, especially if you are not lazy and set all the necessary parameters from the very beginning. Each employee can have restrictions written down - who can and cannot work when, the maximum number of shifts per week, breaks between shifts, prohibitions on night shifts, and even preferences can be taken into account (for example, if someone asks not to be put in a shift with a specific colleague - yes, we had this too). All this is entered into the person's profile, and then the generator itself distributes people among shifts based on this.

Interesting topic. We have just started implementing Shifton, and are still figuring out the settings. We haven't gotten to chart generation yet, but after your messages I will definitely pay more attention to it. Apparently, if you set everything up correctly, you can really save time and nerves.
