robotics project last fall

I’ve used one of those micro actuators in a small robotics project last fall — needed something compact but still with decent force. Honestly, I was surprised by how smooth the motion was considering the size. I used a 12V model with a 25mm stroke, and it fit perfectly inside a tight housing. If you're curious, the lineup of miniature linear actuator https://www.progressiveautomations.com/pages/micro-linear-actuators has a good variety depending on speed and force you need. Just make sure your power supply is stable — these things don’t love voltage spikes.

It’s wild how far compact automation has come lately. I remember five years ago, just finding something small and reliable felt like a hunt. Now you’ve got options that are tiny but still push with real power. I’ve been watching a buddy use micro actuators in his custom camera rigs, and I swear they look like they’re straight out of a sci-fi set.
